Overview & Highlights

Welcome to Chiringuito Las Bahamas, a delightful culinary gem nestled right in front of the Melia Hotel on the picturesque P.o de Maritimo in Torremolinos, Malaga, Spain. This charming beachside restaurant offers a unique blend of authentic Mediterranean flavors and stunning sea views, making it the perfect stop for both locals and tourists alike. With the soothing sound of waves as your backdrop, it's no wonder that guests find themselves returning for more.

One of the standout features of Chiringuito Las Bahamas is its diverse menu, showcasing the best of coastal cuisine. Diners rave about the prawns in pil-pil sauce and the mixed paella, both of which have garnered enthusiastic reviews for their fresh ingredients and robust flavors. Customer Karolina Przybyl described the prawns as "amazing" and couldn't get enough of the accompanying mussels in seaman sauce. The mixed paella received high praise from Cameron McNeilly, who highlighted the exceptional service from the staff, specifically mentioning Juan as his top waiter during his visit. It's clear that at Chiringuito Las Bahamas, not only the food but also the service makes for a memorable dining experience.

The atmosphere here is equally inviting. With a lovely outdoor area that allows diners to soak up the sun while enjoying their meals, the setting is idyllic. Guests appreciated that even on windy days, there’s a sheltered space with clear walls to protect them from the breeze while still capturing the stunning views of the beach. This balance of comfort and scenery makes every visit special, whether you're enjoying a casual lunch or a romantic dinner.

Moreover, the prices are incredibly moderate, allowing everyone—from families to solo travelers—to partake in the delightful experience without breaking the bank. Dishes like the sardinas and the ever-popular olives draw consistent praise for their freshness and flavor, with friendly staff readily available to accommodate requests for refills. The welcoming nature of the team ensures that even if language barriers exist, communication is effortless, allowing everyone to enjoy their time fully.

While there are a few reviews mentioning that the drink selections, such as the sangria, may not suit everyone's taste, the cocktails have generally received favorable feedback. Additionally, some guests have noticed a need for cleanliness around the area, yet this has not overshadowed the overall positive ambiance and experiences shared by many. The breathtaking views, combined with the proximity to the beach, make Chiringuito Las Bahamas a delightful refuge after a day of sun and surf.

In conclusion, Chiringuito Las Bahamas is not just a restaurant; it's a celebration of fresh, local cuisine in a breathtaking seaside setting. From the delectable dishes to the inviting atmosphere, every visit promises new flavors and memorable moments. I wholeheartedly recommend making this charming chiringuito a part of your Torremolinos experience—your taste buds will thank you!

100% recommend. We got prawns in pil-pil sauce and mussels in seaman sauce and grilled peppers it was amazing couldn’t get enough of it! Sangria not so nice for me but if you like very light in alcohol, it’s definitely to recommend. Outside area very nice. Close to the beach. Also when windy it has area with clear walls so you can see the beach.

just had a great meal! the mixed paella was was amazing. the service from juan was the best overall waitor ive had all trip. would definitely recommend

We visited Torremolinos in July last summer, and eventually spent every day at this beach.. I was shocked now to see the recent negative reviews (thus writing our own experience). During our visits, the Staff were very friendly and helpful, we didn't speak any spanish and they didn't speak english, but we managed to communicate everything we wanted. The beach is calm comparing to the nearby more party oriented beaches and it welcomes everyone from Families to couples and singles.. The Sardinas were delicious and fresh. and the olives are mouthwatering, (they were always happy to refill our olives and bread). Prices are very moderate +/- 2-3 euros from every other beach restaurant/bar. We will definitely be back again to this place!

Nice cocktails. Staff was a little unfriendly. There was also a bit of rubbish blowing around on the floor. Great views though and was nice sitting on beach level

Nice chiringuito at the boulevard. Enough shade to read the screen of my phone. Ensalada Russe, pan con mantequilla, café con leche. It was Sunday-afternoon, blue sky, full of sun and a little breeze from the sea, 21°C. The boulevard was crowded with spanish families and many, many (most English) tourists in "spring-clothes"; that means shorts, milk-white arms and legs and (of course) tattoo's . But never mind: I had a lovely day at the beach and enjoyed myself afterwards in the sauna before travelling (by pyblic traffic M-110 and M-220 to my final destination near Cabopino. If you have bought a "Avanza"-bus-card travelling by bus is really cheap. And the frequency of the buses is very good too.

I ordered espetos de sardinas and you could taste that the fish is freshly caught and prepared but I also ordered the virgin mojito which was flat, and the items are quite expensive but arguable it is worth it due to its location on the beach.

I highly recommand grilled squid at this restaurant if you are a seafood lover. All food was very good (octopus, sole fish) except for padron peppers.
